三天從黃金圈走到南岸
黃金圈三大經典一次收：辛格維利爾國家公園 Þingvellir（歐亞與北美板塊交界處，站在兩塊大陸中間的裂谷裡，很難不感嘆地球的浪漫）、間歇泉 Geysir/Strokkur（每5-10分鐘固定噴發一次），還有氣勢磅礴的 黃金瀑布 Gullfoss。中途在 Friðheimar 番茄溫室餐廳吃了一頓番茄主題全餐，意外驚喜。
南岸沿路是瀑布馬拉松：可以走到瀑布後方的塞裡雅蘭瀑布 Seljalandsfoss、彩虹瀑布斯科加瀑布 Skógafoss，一路開到維克小鎮，隔天專程去看玄武岩柱林立、巨浪拍岸的 雷尼斯黑沙灘 Reynisfjara，還探索了黑冰洞 Katla Ice Cave，晚上就在教堂旁邊的空地，不用特地去追，走出飯店就看到極光。
這三天是整趟環島地質景觀最密集的一段。
這一段以維克為南岸停留點，串起瀑布、Reynisfjara 和 Katla 冰洞；Friðheimar 的番茄午餐則穿插在黃金圈途中。黑沙灘只在遠離水線的位置看海，不要追著浪拍照。
Three days from the Golden Circle to the south coast
The Golden Circle’s three classics, all in one day: Þingvellir National Park (where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet — standing in the rift valley between two continents is hard not to marvel at), the Geysir/Strokkur geothermal field (erupting every 5-10 minutes), and the thundering Gullfoss waterfall. Along the way we had a surprisingly great tomato-themed set meal at the Friðheimar tomato greenhouse restaurant.
The south coast is a waterfall marathon: Seljalandsfoss, which you can walk behind, and the rainbow-catching Skógafoss, before driving on to the town of Vík. The next day we made the dedicated trip to Reynisfjara, the black sand beach lined with basalt columns and pounding waves, and explored the Katla ice cave. That night, the northern lights showed up right by the church — no chasing required, just walk outside the hotel.
These three days packed in the densest stretch of geological scenery on the whole ring road.
Vík was our South Coast stop for the waterfalls, Reynisfjara and Katla Ice Cave; the Friðheimar tomato lunch belonged to the Golden Circle stretch. At the black-sand beach, watch from well back from the water rather than following the waves for a photo.

💡 這裡不只是板塊交界的地質奇觀，更是世界上最古老的議會遺址——冰島人早在公元930年就在這片裂谷裡召開阿爾庭（Alþingi）議會，延續了近900年。It's not just a geological rift where two continents meet — it's also the site of the world's oldest parliament. Icelanders first convened the Alþingi assembly here in the year 930 AD, and kept meeting on this spot for nearly 900 years.

💡 20世紀初曾差點被開發成水力發電廠，當地農夫的女兒西格里澤爾·託馬斯多蒂爾為了阻止工程，甚至揚言要跳進瀑布抗議，最終成功保住了黃金瀑布的原始樣貌，她也被視為冰島第一位環保運動者。In the early 1900s, Gullfoss was nearly dammed for hydroelectric power. A local farmer's daughter, Sigríður Tómasdóttir, fought to stop it — reportedly threatening to throw herself into the falls in protest — and succeeded in preserving it. She's now remembered as Iceland's first environmentalist.

💡 海岸邊的玄武岩柱，在冰島民間傳說中是被陽光照射後化為石頭的巨魔。這片海灘看似平靜，但「偷襲浪」（sneaker wave）非常危險，務必與海浪保持安全距離。In Icelandic folklore, the basalt columns along the shore are said to be trolls turned to stone by sunlight. The beach looks calm, but dangerous "sneaker waves" can surge much farther than expected — always keep a safe distance from the water.
