從策馬特坐火車直上觀景臺
從 Zermatt 前往 Gornergrat，登山火車約 35 分鐘便能把我們直接送到高處。這不是需要長途步行才能換來的景色；隨著列車爬升，村莊漸漸退到身後，馬特洪峰則愈來愈完整。
抵達車站後，觀景區就在附近。對第一次來策馬特的人而言，這裡的吸引力很直接：不用猜哪條街角會看見山峰，而是一次把 Matterhorn 馬特洪峰 和周圍高山放進寬闊視野裡。
帶一塊三角朱古力上山
我們也試了經典的三角朱古力借位照，把包裝上的山峰跟真正的馬特洪峰放在一起。這個畫面看似簡單，真正拍攝時仍要移動角度和距離，才能讓兩個輪廓對齊。比起追求完美成品，現場反覆調整的過程更有趣。
在山上吃午餐，再慢慢回程
午餐選了 Gornergrat 車站旁的 Restaurant vis-à-vis，位置很容易找到，不必為了用餐另外繞路。晚上回到策馬特後，我們再以 Coop 的簡單晚餐收尾，住宿仍是 Alpenlodge。
Gornergrat 適合想把交通難度降到最低、又希望得到開揚馬特洪峰視野的人。即使火車單程只有約 35 分鐘，也不要把整段行程壓得太短；高山天氣和雲層會變，留一點等待時間，往往比到站拍完便走更值得。
A direct mountain train from Zermatt
The railway from Zermatt to Gornergrat carries visitors into the mountains in roughly 35 minutes. This is not a panorama that demands a long hike. As the train climbs, the village recedes and the Matterhorn’s outline becomes increasingly complete.
The viewing area is close to the station. For a first visit to Zermatt, its appeal is very simple: instead of waiting for the mountain to appear between village buildings, the Matterhorn and surrounding peaks occupy one broad, unobstructed scene.
The triangular chocolate photograph
We also attempted the familiar perspective shot that aligns a triangular chocolate packet with the real Matterhorn. It looks effortless when finished, but finding the right distance and angle took repeated adjustments. The process of trying to line up both silhouettes was more entertaining than producing a technically perfect photograph.
Lunch on the mountain
We ate at Restaurant vis-à-vis beside Gornergrat station, an easy option that did not require a detour. After returning to Zermatt, we ended the day with a simple Coop dinner and another night at Alpenlodge.
Gornergrat works especially well for travellers who want an expansive Matterhorn view with minimal walking complexity. Although the train ride itself takes only about 35 minutes each way, avoid compressing the entire visit too tightly. Mountain cloud changes quickly, and a little waiting time can be more valuable than leaving immediately after the first photograph.
